Temps over 100 any day now a cycle of the device on an off when needed. No fan noise as another reviewer had stated. They can be damaged in transit, but mine worked better than expected out of the box. Easy to install this device to replace a GE that lasted only three seasons. By Howard Bloom LI really do not know if the negative reviewers have mental problems or not, but most of them seem to hone in on the noise from air conditioners. Hello !..... It is a window unit all in one, as it would in silence? If you want peace, go buy a unit of division, so all you have is the interior of the fans, as they do in Asia. I bought Sunday, Tuesday and managed to put it in the window in less than one hour. The room is cold, there are no vibrations, some others have complained, and it is not exactly quiet over the full speed, but expected to be? C'mon far as it goes on and off every three minutes, gave me worked constantly for the last hour. I expect that on and off into a different mode. People see there is a window air conditioner. If you want peace, go do some work in your house and central air conditioning. I am very satisfied. Oh and one more thing, this is one or Frididaire and I wanted to buy American. Good luck. Window air conditioner with sizing calculations chemdoc said I need a 8000 BTU unit for a room 16 x 16 In fact cool the device the wrong rom of 95 + degrees to 72 degrees is isolated within 2 hours. Other critics said the unit was loud. I have not had a corresponding window. So I had a hole cut into the outside wall and mount the device (it just fits into 2 x 6 studs + 2:01 + 1 inch layer siding). With spray foam insulation = to muffle the noise, the unit is not noisy neighbors not interfere in the night, to hear nowhere else in the house.
