One of the best portable ACS, not perfect By Davey Williams, Soleus LX-140 is actually the third portable AC we had in the household. The fist was a discontinued model Hampton Bay model well and is still in operation in another bedroom. The next was Sunpentown WA-1010e, terrible, just could not cool the room by about 4 degrees, and broke after a year. In the soleus. The most important thing in a portable AC cooling ability is obvious, and soleus lives up to its reputation as one of the most powerful units. At 14,000 BTU, it could always be my 150 sq ft bedroom up to 70 degrees in the warm nights and hot summer days, when it is in the top 90-he is, the temperature is about 15 drops - 20 degrees when we completely shut out of no sunlight and leave the unit runnign in height. It may not sound like a big drop, but it's about expecting the best from a portable device can. It is also able to cool our greatest master bedroom 300 square meters, although the upper limit of about one drop of 15 degrees when it's warm and sunny, unlike most other portable ACS have seen and used, this provides a steady stream of highly cold air, and while the massive and expensive than window units Huger, but rivals in their cooling capacity. Features - The unit has three fan speeds in all configurations and has a dehumidifier and heating mode, as well as AC and fan. No temperature control head unit that allows you to choose anywhere between 61 and 95 degrees, which is a nice feature, just because some portable ACP Run Run and until freezing at night. If the soleus at 71 degrees, it will run in AC mode until the room cools, it will switch to the fan to the room warms up again. This is a nice feature that not all laptops have Acs. There is a timer that can be accessed from the main unit and you can run the unit for a certain number of hours See remote control below for information about "times" timer. It is not the quietest unit in the world, but most of the noise is the result of air being pushed through the drive instead of annoying sounds coming from the refrigerator a few. Light sleepers may not like, but it stifles noisy neighbors, no offensive noise rather than white. It could also stand to get better circulation functions. It is a "swing" mode on the remote to the fan switch in the direction up and down, but not move from side to side and up and down is not great. Exhaust and Drain - The unit comes with two 6 foot hoses of plastic is glued to a window so you can extract the hot air. The method of dual hose is supposed to do better work unit, and between the two hoses and high-power unit is functioning better than any other unit we've seen the hoses are a little wider and heavier and could be in isolated, but do the job. While the manufacturer states that the unit is not usually necessary to drain, I think his stats a bit optimistic. Although not necessary that the flight when I'm using it at night the temperature drops 80-70, is very hot and humid, the water tank is full and needs to be emptied every two days. Unfortunately, a major design flaw is that there is no automatic closing of the unit. As the light of the "drainage unit" lights on a lot of time if you ignore it for more than a couple of hours the water will begin to seep through the bottom of the unit and will only continue to work. I did it once during the night and woke up to find about a gallon of watter puddles on the wooden floor with all the electrical cables lying in it - not the safest of situations in a second design flaw is the loss is very low on the back. If you put it on the ground, only a frying pan very very low as possible.
