Energy Star certified, and loaded with extra marks from Pennsylvania, I took this unit in a few different reasons, it is important for me, the fully functional remote. It has a thermostat in the remote control and regulate the temperature in the room. The unit has a built-in Clean Air Ionizer. For people with allergies is a plus. For FRIGIDARE and download data. The best AC I've had so far, a 12,000 BTU of the great destroyer, I had AC and it's very good quality I was a little disappointed in its cooling effect, but it will be a 400 square foot room cool for approximately 30 minutes, even at high humidity (I'm 10,000 BTUs to cool the entire apartment - but the apartment is 800 to 900 square meters, and is designed for up to 500 sqm, plus it is very humid in Brooklyn late). The air filter is also very nice feature for people with spring allergies (I have). Overall, the price / high quality and simplicity of the AC is a bargain. Free shipping is a bonus.
